Religious Education Program

The mission of the Religious Education Program is to guide the students from first through eighth grades (who attend public schools) so that they will grow closer to God through the community of the Church.   With the help and under the direction of the Holy Spirit, we witness the Gospel and our Catholic Tradition.   Together the students learn, share, and celebrate their faith.  The Religious Education Program assists the parents in fulfilling their duty as primary religious educators of their children.

The greatest gift we can give to our children is a strong faith in Jesus Christ, and an appreciation of His presence in the Sacraments. We are all charged with teaching our children how to pray and worship, and to model a living faith for these most impressionable members of our community.

In response to this need, the Archdiocese of Chicago has launched the Year of Strong Catholic Parents. There will be resources available throughout the year aimed at equipping and empowering parents to teach and model the Catholic faith to their children.

Please visit Catholic Parents Chicago to access these resources and learn more. The Catholic Parents site will be regularly updated, so consider bookmarking and revisiting it for new additions.

Remember, children are always watching and learning. Model strong faith in Jesus and the effect will be greater than you realize.
