DEVOTIONS

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel

In the Eucharistic Adoration Chapel we pray for many reasons; in thanksgiving for God’s Blessings, for forgiveness, for the sick and for our beloved dead. Through prayer before Jesus in the real presence in the chapel, we pray for the help that we need to follow Christ, “the Way, the Truth and the Life. The Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel is located in the Rev. Thomas P. May Parish Ministry Center.

Apostolate, Perpetual Rosary

Our purpose is to pray for the Holy Father’s intentions and for our parish’s intentions through the great bond of charity which unites the members of the Living Rosary. Members have an obligation to adore and imitate Mary, and in particular to avoid sin and pray one decade of the Rosary daily.

Ave Maria-Polish Prayer Group

Founded in 1993, this prayer group meets Wednesday evening at 7:30 PM for Mass, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Rosary and Reconciliation. Please be assured that you and your families are always in our prayers. Everyone is welcome to join.

First Friday Devotions (Polish)

The First Friday devotions to the Sacred Heart of Jesus takes place after the 8:45 AM Mass on every first Friday of the month. The celebrant of the Liturgy leads us in prayer.

First Saturday Devotions (Polish)

First Saturday devotions take place after the 7:30 AM Mass each first Saturday of the month. Those who receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, receive Holy Communion, recite five decades of the Rosary and spend 15 minutes meditating on the Rosary mysteries for five consecutive first Saturdays will receive special graces at the hour of death.

Hour of Divine Mercy

Our prayer group prays the Chaplet of Divine Mercy before the Blessed Sacrament, which is exposed at 3:00 PM, on Friday; the hour in which Jesus died for us on the cross. Through our participating with Him in His Passion through the Stations of the Cross, Jesus said, “in this hour I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion”.

Marian Prayer Group

We welcome all people to come and offer prayer, petition and give glory to God. We meditate on the life of Christ and the Blessed Mother by praying the Rosary. We also pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and offer hymns of praise. We meet every Monday evening, in the Adoration Chapel at 7:00 PM.

Marian Home Devotion-Traveling Image of Mary

The “Traveling Pilgrim Virgin,” Our Lady of Fatima, has been a devotion in our parish for over 40 years. She travels from home to home in our parish and stays for one or two weeks. The family and friends of the “host” pray the Rosary, Consecration of the Family to the Sacred Heart and the Litany of the Sacred Heart together. These are said daily. The statue is on a schedule and has kept moving from home-to home in our parish, all this time.

Morning Rosary Group

We pray the Rosary daily for personal, parish and global needs and intentions. Parishioners and guests are invited to participate in the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary for the spiritual support of individual, parish and worldwide concerns.

Legion of Mary

The Legion of Mary is the largest apostolic organization of lay people in the Catholic Church, with well over 3 million active members in almost every country of the world. It has been active in the United States since 1931, has been approved by the last 6 Popes, and was endorsed by the Second Vatican Council.

The main purpose of the Legion of Mary is to give glory to God through the sanctification of its members.
